Our Story
Born in 2025, Grace & Grit Expressions is more than a brand – it's a testament to transformation, faith, and the power of resilience.
After years of navigating the highs and lows of life – career wins and personal losses, grief and joy, and even unhealthy dependencies – founder Dr. Jocelyn Fisher came face to face with a turning point. Following a painful setback in what seemed like a promising executive career in higher education, post-military spouse life, Jocelyn heard a still, small voice that had been calling to her for years: it was time to do something bigger, something that stretched beyond her own family and inner circle. It was time to tell the truth.
God’s grace had sustained her through years of willful disobedience, carrying her as she balanced life as a wife, mother, and successful educator. But she knew she had not yet fully tapped into her divine potential. That changed after the devastating loss of her eldest brother – a moment that marked a spiritual awakening, a final commitment to sobriety, and the birth of her memoir: This Version of Me: Education Beyond the Letters.
In that season of surrender, Jocelyn made a vow: to use her voice, her journey, and her faith to uplift others. Out of that promise, Grace & Grit Expressions was born.
Our name reflects the journey: Grace – God’s unrelenting, ever-present mercy; and Grit – the intentional, daily work required to rise, again and again. It's this balance that fuels true resilience.
